Intro
Use this Tango to learn how you can use Clay.com to find local businessess with Google Maps by entering in the location and the type of business you are looking for. Once you have run the search you'll have a Clay Table with all the businesses that match your criteria which you can further enrich with additional information.
Using Clay.com to Find Local Businesses via Google Maps
You can sign up for a free trial if you don't already have an account.
1. Once logged in, click on Create new
2. Click on Table...
3. Click on Find Local Businesses using Google Maps…
4. Type the location you are looking for. In this example: "London"
Depending on the size of the area you are looking to build lists from, I'd recommend splitting your searches into smaller areas (States, Cities, Towns etc)
5. Click on London…
6. Adjust the radius here
7. Click on Select an item from the dropdown...
8. Click on Search Type and select "Business types"
9. Type the category you want to search for. In this example: "Dental Clinics"
10. Click on Dental Clinic to select it.
You can add more here categories here if you want to.
11. Add in the number of results you'd like. In this example "250"
12. Click on Continue
13. Click on any of the links to check the results.
ℹ️ Once you have this data in your Clay table, you can enrich it with over 75 different providers. This could include finding out more details about the company, checking if they run Facebook Ads and searching for social media channels.
